Fondazione FAAR e Centro Studi CSAR promuovono l'innovazione in Architettura, Design, Tecnologia e Scienze del Territorio, sia attraverso attività di tutoring culturale, sia con il conferimento di borse di studio a giovani ricercatori e/o neolaureati, nella fase transitoria dalla formazione universitaria ai ruoli di responsabilità professionale e socio-culturale.
Gli obiettivi della Fondazione, nata nel 1983 a Milano, sono perseguiti attraverso le attività ideate e promosse dal Centro Studi CSAR, varato nel 1991 per ampliare internazionalmente il ruolo culturale della FAAR, valorizzare e sviluppare temi e programmi di ricerca, ideare eventi culturali e di comunicazione.
Nell’ambito del Sistema Museale d’Impresa della Provincia di Milano, svolge un importante ruolo nella formazione di nuove figure professionali specializzate, grazie all’esperienza decennale maturata in questo campo.
Il contributo FAAR-CSAR al futuro si riassume in 13 anni di attività con più di 115 borsisti, ingenti fondi erogati in premi e borse di studio e formazione, oltre 300 studenti stranieri ospitati e l’istituzione di rapporti internazionali con Università, Enti, Centri di Ricerca ed Esperti.
Nel 2001 è iniziata la costruzione di XarLab, osservatorio e incubator per la sperimentazione di nuove organizzazioni della conoscenza del progetto, e per l'indagine previsionale di scenari tecnologici di informazione distribuita.



The FAAR foundation and CSAR centre of studies both promote the innovation of design in architecture, and local design and technology, whether it be through activities of cultural tutoring, or through the awarding of scholarships to young researchers and/or neo-graduates, who are in the transitory phase between University, and roles of socio-cultural and professional responsibilities.
The aims of the foundation, born in 1983 in Milan, are carried out through the successfully planned activities of the CSAR centre of studies, launched in 1991 to internationally enlarge the cultural role of the FAAR, exploit and develop themes and research programs, and to conceive cultural and communicational events.
In the area of enterprise museum systems within the province of Milan, an important role in the formation of new, specialised professionals takes place, thanks to the decennial experience matured in this field.
The FAAR-CSAR contribution to the future sums up 13 years of action, with more than 115 scholarship holders, considerable funds granted in awards and scholarships, beyond 300 foreign exchange students, and the institution of international relations between universities, bodies and centres for expert researchers.
In 2001 began the construction of Xarlab, an observatory and incubator for the experimentation of new organizations familiar with the project, and for the provisional inquiry into technological events of distributed information.
