Il Spazio Iso Rivolta prende avvio da una vicenda storica, umana ed industriale che ha fortemente segnato l’area di Bresso, in provincia di Milano.
Nel dopoguerra, l’attività di produzione delle famose Iso era motivo di orgoglio e soddisfazione per i cittadini di Bresso; ricordi che affollano tuttora la mente dei più anziani e che costituiranno parte del patrimonio culturale dei giovani abitanti.
Il percorso culturale legato all’epopea auto motociclistica propone, oltre ai disegni tecnici originali, una raccolta di numerosi modelli. Annoveriamo, tra gli altri, l’Isoscooter 150 F, l’Isomoto GT e l’Isosport 125 tra i motocicli, la mitica Isetta (prodotta dalla Iso in circa 1500 esemplari tra il 1953 ed il 1954) e le favolose Granturismo come la GT (800 auto prodotte tra il 1963 ed il 1970), la Grifo (437 auto considerando la produzione completa, dal 1963 al 1974), la Fidia (188 auto prodotte dal 1967 al 1974) e la Lele (produzione nel 1970-74 stimata in 285 esemplari).
Un percorso storico che lega la semplice informazione alla più profonda esperienza di progettazione e di design nell’industria dei motori.
Il complesso architettonico , ricreato all’interno della ex fabbrica Iso Rivolta, ospita un centro polifunzionale rivolto alla città, l’”Iso Caffè” – luogo di ritrovo tematico – e un book-store che privilegia testi sul prodotto e sul design italiano.
L’intento è quello di valorizzare le attività sociali e dare spazio alle proposte delle nuove generazioni, in un ambito comune dove incontrarsi, stringere legami ed esprimere la propria creatività.
Un progetto che valorizza la comunicazione in tutte le sue forme, studiato in un’ottica di ammodernamento e riqualificazione urbani.
La sede è attualmente in fase di ristrutturazione.



The Iso Rivolta museum began with an industrial and human historical event which strongly marked the area around Bresso, within the province of Milan.
In the postwar period, the productivity of the famous Iso was the cause of much pride and satisfaction within the citizens of Bresso; even today, such works still crowd the minds of an older generation, and play an important role in the cultural heritage of the younger generation.
The cultural route linked to the motorcycle epic shows, other than the original, technical designs, also a collection of numerous models. These are, the Isoscooter 150F, the Isomoto GT, and the Isosport 125 among the motorcycles, the mystic Isetta (produced by Iso in roughly 1500 models between 1953 and 1954) and the fabulous Granturismo like the GT (800 cars produced between 1963 and 1974), the Fidia (188 cars produced from 1967 to 1974) and the Lele (production in 1970-74 estimated at 285 models.)
A historical route which links the simple information to the deeper experience of planning and design in the industry of the motors.
The complex, museum architecture, recreated in the interior ex-factory of the Iso Rivolta, furthermore hosts a poly-functional centre dedicated to the city, the “Iso Caffè” – a place of thematic reunion – and a book store that favours books on Italian design products.
Its purpose is to enhance social activities and give range to the proposals of the newer generations in a common environment and meeting place, to tighten links and to express one’s own creativity.
A project which values communication in all of its forms, studied in an optics of modernization and urban retraining.
The museum centre is actually under reconstruction at present, and will reopen to the public by the end of 2005.
