Kartellmuseo racconta la storia e l'identità dell'azienda Kartell, fondata nel 1949 con la mission di realizzare oggetti di design in plastica. La Fondazione si prefigge lo scopo di diffondere presso il pubblico la conoscenza del disegno industriale e dei processi estetici-produttivi ad esso collegati.
Molte sono le icone firmate Kartell esposte nel museo, collocato all'interno dello stabilimento. La collezione è costituita da diverse tipologie di oggetti (autoaccessori, casalinghi, lampade, articoli per laboratorio, mobili e complementi d’arredo) disposti in ordine cronologico.
Le pareti dell’allestimento sono caratterizzate da una tavola sinottica che guida il visitatore e delinea delle possibili chiavi interpretative relative a: manifestazioni, design, tecnologia e comunicazione.
Presso la sede del museo e on line è consultabile il catalogo informatico con schede sui prodotti Kartell dal 1949 ad oggi, sulle tecnologie produttive, i materiali e i designer che hanno collaborato con l’azienda.
Le collezioni sono costituite da prototipi, prodotti kartell, oggetti multimarca di protodesign in plastica. Negli archivi sono conservati prodotti Kartell, disegni, fotografie, stampe e cataloghi di produzione.



The Kartell museum tells the story and the identity of the Kartell firm, founded in 1949 with the objective of creating design objects in plastic. The foundation proposes itself the aim of diffusing to the public, the knowledge of industrial design and the processes of aesthetic-products linked to it.
Many of them on display in the museum are products signed by Kartell. The collection is made up of different typologies of objects (auto-accessories, domestic objects, lights, instruments for laboratories, furniture and furnishing pieces), which are all displayed chronological order.
The walls of the display are characterised by a synoptic table which guides its visitors and outlines possible, relative and interpretive keys to: manifestations, design, technology and communication.
Nearby the head office of the museum, and on-line, with file-cards it’s possible to consult the information catalogue on Kartell products from 1949 to today, technological products, the materials, and the designers who collaborated with the firm.
The collections consist of prototypes, Kartell products and multi-brand objects of proto-design in plastic. Within the archives, the Kartell products, designs, photographs, production printings and catalogues are all preserved.
